DITO Telecommunity Corp., headed by Dennis Uy, has unveiled an array of economical mobile plans tailored to the low-income sector as it delves into postpaid services.
To expand its reach, DITO strives to offer budget-friendly plans to low-income subscribers, challenging the notion that postpaid subscriptions impose financial strain and overwhelm them due to their commitments and prerequisites.
Evelyn Jimenez, the chief commercial officer of DITO, expressed the company’s intention to alter the perception that postpaid plans remain exclusive to a privileged few.
Through DITO, Filipinos now have the chance to pursue the long-awaited digital enhancements they aspire to.
DITO’s postpaid product, FLEXPlans, encompasses a range of data allocations, varying from 8 GB to 100 GB per month, depending on the chosen package.
It also includes unlimited calls, texts, video streaming over LTE, and supplementary features like advance payment and data rollover.
By opting for advance payment, customers can avail themselves of discounts: eight percent for six months, 18 percent for 12 months, and 40 percent for 24 months.
Furthermore, DITO enables subscribers to carry forward any unused data to the subsequent month, providing them an additional opportunity to utilize their allocated resources.
Jimenez emphasized the appeal of DITO’s mobile postpaid plans by highlighting their affordability and suitability for prepaid users transitioning to postpaid and existing postpaid users seeking a change of provider.
These plans enable an upgrade to a more affordable digital lifestyle.
For 24-month handset plans, FLEXPlan 588 offers 8 GB of data, while FLEXPlan 888 grants 20 GB of data, with an additional 20 GB allocated for 5G usage.
FLEXPlan 1288 provides 30 GB of data, including 30 GB specifically for 5G connectivity, and FLEXPlan 1688 delivers 50 GB of data, alongside 50 GB allocated for 5G usage.
DITO also offers handset options bundled with the plans.
FLEXPlan 888 includes a complimentary Samsung A04 device, while FLEXPlan 1288 provides a free Samsung A14 5G smartphone.
Each handset plan comes with unlimited calls and texts and a one-year subscription to Prime Video.
Regarding SIM-only plans, FLEXPlan 588 offers 16 GB of data, whereas FLEXPlan 888 provides 40 GB of data, with an additional 20 GB designated for 5G usage.
FLEXPlan 1288 presents 60 GB of data, including 30 GB for 5G, while FLEXPlan 1688 presents a generous 100 GB of data, alongside 50 GB specifically allocated for 5G connectivity.
DITO’s foray into the postpaid market aims to diversify its revenue streams, addressing the capital shortfall of P27.89 billion as of 2022.
