In light of this statement of Aboitiz, the AEV has officially opened DDLS Philippines, as per Philippine broadsheet Manila Bulletin.
The training institute is also known as DDLS Aboitiz Incorporated. It is a collaborative project between EdventureCo and AIV.
The latter is a leading group in the Asia-Pacific that specializes in professional and vocational training and education.
Aboitiz said that their vision is to provide their students with information technology (IT) education that is easily accessible, agile, and of premium-quality.
He explained that these modern proficiencies and training had never been more pertinent.
Mike Calma is the country general manager of the fledgling IT school.
He said that they designed the DDLS Philippines to complement the high-quality teaching that their trainers are capable of delivering.
Furthermore, Calma relayed that their educational facility is favorable for learning.
The DDLS Philippines executive shared that their students will learn about cloud computing, development and operations or DevOps, and cybersecurity, among others.
Moreover, Calma remarked that they would enjoy state-of-the-art technology while they develop their IT skills at the training institute.
The training facility of DDLS Philippines is in Bonifacio Global City in Taguig. Students will relish the latest technology, including telepresence.
This amenity would aid them and the IT professionals to gain skill sets needed to join the workforce right away following their graduation.
DDLS Philippines also offers seven training rooms with sophisticated features.
In Australia, DDLS is the most prominent institution that offers cyber-security and corporate information and communications technology education.
In the Philippines, AEV stated that their first IT training campus demonstrates the growth of the Australia-based training institution in the Asia-Pacific region.
Also, the Philippine holding firm said that their operations would allow Filipino professionals to get a job in a thriving modern sector.
On Monday, February 24, 2020, Aboitiz Equity Ventures, Incorporated (PSE: AEV) closed at P49.55 per share, down by 2.85 or 5.75 percent.
The total value reached P14,248,835.00. The 52-week high of Aboitiz-family led holding company is at P64.20. Meanwhile, its 52-week low is at P46.50.
