“Bakit importante ang may TRAILING STOP-LOSS when actively trading?”
Ipinost ko ito sa Facebook Group ko na “Invest in the Philippine Stock Market with Jaycee De Guzman.”
It turned out medyo marami rin pala ang hindi nakakaalam kung ano ang trailing stop-loss, lalo na kung paano i-compute ito.
So I really could not expect an exchange of ideas dun sa initial na post ko if hindi alam ng marami kung ano ang trailing stop-loss na ‘to.
A trailing stop-loss is your selling price.
It does 3 Ps.
– PRESERVES your capital
– PROTECTS your gains (if any)
– PREVENTS unbearable losses
It’s either mag-stay ito as is or mag-adjust ito upward.
Never itong mag-a-adjust downward.
TSL = current price – (current price * your risk tolerance %)
So:
TSL = 102 – (102 * 0.08) = P93.84
See, nagupward adjustment ang TSL mo. From the initial P92, naging P93.84 na ito.
Upward adjustment lang, walang downward adjustment, kasi nga it PRESERVES your gains (if any).
Dahil sa TSL, naila-lock o naipe-PRESERVE ang gains mo, if meron man.
That’s why a TSL PROTECTS your capital.
