Xurpas made a press release today about its recent announcement during its Annual Stockholder’s Meeting. It said that ODX PTE LTD (ODX), a wholly-owned subsidiary, has an all-star line up of partners and advisors to aid in the use of blockchain technology.
This technology aims to provide free Internet access to emerging market-mobile consumers. It is also planning to sell up to USD 100 million worth of utility tokens.
The company also announced that it is planning to launch Alto, which connects games to the blockchain and Xonio, which offers a unique financial inclusion for digital goods in emerging markets.
Furthermore, X will launch AllCare, an HR benefits platform, which allows freelancers to avail of insurance, health, and other benefits.
The announcement of CEO Nico Jose Nolledo’s resignation during the meeting opens another door for him as he becomes CEO for the ODX project. Raymond Gerard Racaza, current President and co-founder of the company, assumes the vacant post.
Revenues for the first quarter of 2018 decreased by 56 percent or PHP 421.97 million versus the same period last year. The company suffered a net loss of PHP 77.93 million, lower by 175 percent versus the recorded PHP 103.24 million in net income in the first quarter of 2017.
Xurpas has been consolidating for quite some time after dropping roughly 50 percent from its 2018 highs. Apparently, the stock is trading inside a tight range.
The 15 EMA, 20 SMA, and 50 SMA are moving sideways in support of a consolidation pattern. Nevertheless, Volume is still vague as to whether the bulls or the bears are in control.
