PhilWeb Corporation (WEB) was initially incorporated in 1969 as South Oil and Mineral Exploration Co. That time, the company was engaged in mining and oil exploration.
In 2000, WEB changed its name to PhilWeb.Com Inc. and changed its primary purpose as an Internet Company.
In 2003, the company received a license from PAGCOR to launch e-Games stations. These stations are generally internet cafes exclusively for casino game playing.

- Revenues shrunk by 84 percent in 2017 versus 2016
- The company suffered a net loss attributable to parent of PHP 293.3 million.
PhilWeb announced earlier that its revenues rose by 165 percent in the first half of 2018 versus the same period in 2017. Revenues stood at PHP 172.6 million with up to PHP 95.1 million coming from the second quarter alone.
The spike in revenues was mainly driven by two factors. Firstly, there was an increase in the number of outlets that availed of the Electronics Gaming System. This includes the installment of two e-Bingo outlets. It now records different outlets in 54 locations.
Secondly, the company launched the Habanero-based games. This led to a handsome Gross Gaming Revenue. The figures include profit from the existing suite of games using RealTime Gaming software.
However, WEB still suffered a loss of PHP 45.6 million. This is significantly lower than the recorded PHP 141.25 million in the same period last year.
TBGI rallied today but was stopped by its immediate resistance. Price is now above the 15 EMA and 20 SMA, but the 50 SMA is still acting as resistance.
