Why Do I Check the Market Sentiment Index Rating for a Stock?

I check the Market Sentiment Index rating of a stock because it provides a data-driven overview of what short-term traders and long-term investors think about the stock, as reflected in their actual trades. I don’t need to post an informal survey on stock market-related Facebook groups about what they “think” about a stock. After all, what they “think” may not necessarily translate to what they will actually do. The basis of my Market Sentiment Index is actual trades, not mere opinion.

How Does My Market Sentiment Index Come Up with a Rating?

It’s my proprietary tool, so I cannot divulge its actual programming. To give you an overview, the final rating is a synthesis of all trade participants with a positive Net Amount and a comparison of their buying and selling averages and other activities.

What’s the Role of the Market Sentiment Index in My Decision-Making?

My buying decision has four criteria. Having a bullish Market Sentiment Index rating (whether it’s the prevailing rating as trading happens, end-of-day, or month-to-date rating) is one of them. I can teach you my entire model when you avail yourself of my consulting service.
