WIN released a statement after the Philippine Stock Exchange requested for a reply on why the stock suddenly moved higher yesterday. The company stated that on June 22, 2018, WIN was notified that the rehabilitation case with its subsidiaries was terminated after the principal borrower paid its loan.
In relation to this, the assets of the subsidiaries with hindrances due to the case will now be released from lien and encumbrances.
This decision will now allow the concerned subsidiaries under WIN to pursue the Memorandum of Agreement with Avida Land, which has not yet been rescinded yet.
For the first quarter of 2018, revenues reached PHP 5.44 million, higher by 47.67 percent versus the recorded PHP 3.68 million. The company, however, saw continued losses at PHP 926,270.
Nevertheless, the figure is better than the recorded PHP 4.99 million loss in the same period last year.
